Netball Europe Open Championships LIVE coverage announced

For the second consecutive year, Netball fans will be able to watch all the action from the Netball Europe Open Championships in association with InspireSport.

Netball Europe, QTV Sports, and Eversport are pleased to announce that all 22 matches will be livestreamed.

The Championship, which takes place at the University of Northumbria, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, between May 12 and 15, features England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

In addition to the main competition between the high performance nations, the Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, Malta, Israel, and Gibraltar will be joined by the USA and Grenada to
compete for the Challenge Cup.

After the successful livestreaming in March of Netball Europe’s U-17 Championships, this live coverage will allow netball fans another opportunity to see more of the international game’s developing teams.

Anita Navin, Sky Sports broadcaster, and commentator at Glasgow2014 and Netball World Cup 2015 will lead the coverage, which is being produced once again by QTV Sports.
The UK-based producer, which creates and manages digital content for over a twenty international federations and sports governing bodies, including the International Netball
Federation, will produce live HD coverage and provide real-time in-play video highlights to Facebook and Twitter throughout the four days of competition.

EverSport is an innovative media company that provides a best-in-breed streaming platform proven to grow rights holders’ audience and revenues more effectively than any other platform
by harnessing the power of syndication, marketing and social media. Netball fans can access the live coverage by purchasing a 24h Pass (£5.95) or a Tournament
Pass (£14.95), which also grant access to VoD for 30 days.

“I am delighted that Netball Europe has been able to secure livestreaming for the Open Championships in 2016,” said Netball Europe Chairman Lyn Carpenter. “It is big event for our
Challenge Cup teams with Grenada and USA joining us for the very first time to compete against Israel, Malta, Gibraltar, Ireland and Switzerland.”

“In the Performance Section, our teams who are amongst the best in the world, will battle it out to be European Champions with all to play for between England, Wales, Scotland and Northern
Ireland.”

There is an expectation now amongst netballers that they will be able to watch significant events live and Netball Europe has invested in order to deliver the opportunity to see an exciting
weekend of netball.

Jack McGill, CEO of QTV Sports added: “Netball Europe’s digital footprint has grown considerably in the last twelve months and we’re committed to continuing the growth of their coverage and improving the quality and reach of their events.”

Each of the first three days of competition features six matches with four remaining matches played on the final day.
Coverage can be found on numerous netball websites, including netballeurope.com and netball.org. The hashtag for this event is #NEopen16
