Under World Netball’s core strategy ‘PLAY’ we will drive game development and worldwide delivery of a portfolio if thrilling world-class events.

Our portfolio of events, include our pinnacle event the Netball World Cup, as well as the Netball World Youth Cup and the FAST5 Netball World Series.

Netball is a core sport in the Commonwealth Games and strives for addition to the Olympic programme.

Netball World Cup
The Netball World Cup (NWC) is netball’s flagship event owned by World Netball, and it brings together the top 16 teams in the world every four years.
Netball World Youth Cup
The Netball World Youth Cup (NWYC) is the pinnacle of netball competition for emerging players who are under 21 years of age.The event takes place every 4 years.
FAST5 Netball World Series
The FAST5 NWS is an international competition based on the netball’s newest format FAST5. FAST5 is netball like you’ve never seen before; featuring dynamic rules changes including five players a side, shorter quarters, power plays and super shots.
Commonwealth Games
Netball was introduced into the Commonwealth Games in 1998 and has been an integral part of the programme since. The last edition of the Commonwealth Games was Birmingham 2022, where Jamaica made history making their first Final, but Australia were crowned Champions
Commonwealth Youth Games
Netball was included in the Commonwealth Youth Games for the first time in 2023. The event allowed for a broad range of countries to compete at an international event whilst providing an invaluable experience to the future stars of netball.
Domestic Elite Netball Leagues
Across our five World Netball Regions many domestic elite netball leagues take place every season and this is the place to find out where, when and how you can keep to date on all of the action!
Olympic Games
World Netball is recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). This status was earned because of netball’s global popularity, our strong and effective governance structures, and our compliance with the Olympic Charter.
World University Netball
Between the 17th and 21st of September 2018, the FISU World University Netball Championships was hosted in Kampala, Uganda. This was the third edition of the event, with Uganda winning the championship title.
