This week the Netball Super League (NSL) reached its midway point with Round 9 of 18 taking place.
Following the league reaching its halfway mark, the NSL have also announced that a half season pass for NetballPass is now available for just £19.95 giving you access to 22 matches, including two per week for the rest of the season and the semi-finals, 3rd and 4th place play off and the Grand Final on Saturday 29th June.
The international Netball Family already signed up to NetballPass were this week treated to a close encounter between Team Bath and Cardiff Dragons, with nothing separating the two sides after the first quarter as it ended 13-13.
Dragons came out firing in the second 15-minute period though, with Australian Jacqui Newton once again on fire for Dragons, as she made four gains and two interceptions putting her 5th in the leagues gains charts.
Dragons went on to win the next three quarters of the game by two, three and one goals before taking the eventual win 46-52.
Despite being the eventual losing side, Bath still showed some promising signs of improvement with one of their defenders also standing out – England’s, Jayda Pechova.
Pechova made four gains and four deflections, helping to keep the score line close, and the contest exciting for the viewers, whilst also moving her up personally to 8th in the Gains charts.

The second match that the international Netball Family were treated to live on NetballPass was the league leaders Manchester Thunder welcoming Leeds Rhinos, who came into this clash having won their last two games against Bath and Surrey Storm.
However, despite Rhinos recently improved performances there was no stopping Thunder as they dominated the match winning the first quarter 16-7.
England Rose’s Nat Metcalf and Amy Carter were real playmakers for Thunder in this match as they moved the ball at speed through the court and safely to their shooters.
Metcalf made 41 feeds into the circle, whilst Carter made a further 45.
At centre Carter also contributed one interception, three deflections and two gains before being awarded Player of the Match for her standout performance.

Elsewhere in the NSL, Surrey Storm beat struggling Sirens as both Francesca Wells and Sophie Drakeford-Lewis shot at 100%, in a 2nd vs 4th clash Loughborough Lightning beat Severn Stars, and in an extremely close contest Saracen’s Mavericks pushed London Pulse until the end,
