Thunders Unbeaten Streak Continues

Round 5 of the Netball Super League took place this weekend with the Netball Family able to watch Manchester Thunder and Loughborough Lightning’s victories live on NetballPass.

Thunder entered their clash with Surrey Storm unbeaten, and in the first quarter Surrey caused a Storm, as they took the lead 14-12, however Thunder struck back in the second quarter scoring 19 goals and making their mark on the game.

From then on there was no stopping Thunder, who made sure they kept their unbeaten streak, with England Rose Nat Metcalf a real play maker in their success as she received 32 centre passes.

Despite being on the losing side Uganda She Crane, Haniisha Muhameed also impressed with six deflections and 12 gains to her name by the end of contest.

This puts Muhameed 7th in the league’s intercepts charts, 5th in the deflections charts and just 2nd in the leagues gains charts.

Thunder went on to win the match 75 – 44.

The second match that the Netball Family were treated to was Loughborough Lightning vs Leeds Rhinos.

From the off Lightning were dominant throughout the court, with England’s Hannah Joseph and Nat Panagarry slick in attack, transitioning the ball from the centre to goal third with speed before putting in 61 circle feeds between them.

Despite Lightning winning every quarter, the most accurate shooter on court was still in a Rhinos dress, and that was Malawi’s Joyce Mvula who shot at 94%.

Lightning went on to take the win 71-55.
