Thunder end Stars unbeaten record live on NetballPass in Round 4 of the Netball Super League

Following Round 4 of the Netball Super League Manchester Thunder are now the leagues only unbeaten team, as they stuck down Stars live on NetballPass.

From the first whistle the four-time champions Thunder showed their class as they won the first 15 minutes 16-13, and from then on, they never lost a quarter despite Stars going close in the last.

Thunders England Rose heavy attack made up of Paige Reed, Lois Pearson, Amy Carter and captain, Nat Metcalf, were unstoppable with Metcalf putting in 34 feeds and Carter 27, whilst Reed put up 33 shots to Pearson’s 22 as they all worked seamlessly together.

At the other end for Thunder, SPAR Protea Shadine van der Merwe teamed up well with Josie Huckle to keep Stars attack under constant pressure.

The international netball family were also treated to Surrey Storm vs Cardiff Dragons this weekend live on NetballPass, with Storm growing into the game to take the win 63-56 thanks to Uganda She Crane Prosvocia Peace’s ever accurate shooting.

Peace shot at 92% scoring 47 of Storm’s 63 goals, this puts Peace 6th in the leagues goal scoring charts in her first season back since becoming a mum.

Peace was joined in the attacking circle by Storm captain and England Rose, Sophie Drakeford-Lewis who was equally as unstoppable with her movement and feed accuracy crucial to Storms success, as she received 22 centre passes, and put in 13 feeds before also netting 16 goals.

Drakeford-Lewis was eventually awarded Player of the Match for her play maker performance.

You can catch up on both these NSL games on NetballPass now.

Elsewhere in the NSL, London Pulse recorded their highest goals scoring tally beating Bath 76-43, Leeds Rhinos dominated Strathclyde Sirens, and title defenders Loughborough Lightning saw off Saracens Mavericks.
