England Rose, Alice Harvey, and Ugandan She Crane, Mary Cholhok help Lightning keep their unbeaten streak alive, live on NetballPass.

Round 2 of the UKs Netball Super League took place this weekend, with international fans on NetballPass able to watch Loughbrough Lightning continue their unbeaten ways, and Saracens Mavericks secure their first win of the season.

A dominant Lightning struck down Team Bath at the Sir David Wallace Arena in Round 2, with the international defensive duo of Alice Harvey (England) and Nicola Smith (South Africa) being a real force to be reckoned with.

Harvey made six interceptions and Smith a further three, with the England Rose now sitting top of the leagues intercept charts with 8 intercepts so far.

At the other end of the court for Lightning, once again Ugandan She Crane Mary Cholhok was untouchable netting 52 goals, taking her tally to 103 already and keeping her at the top of the goals scored charts.

Lightning boss, Vic Burgess, was able to rotate her whole team to give everyone court time as the defending Champions won 83-46.

Mavericks vs Leeds Rhinos was a much closer encounter, with only two goals separating the two teams with 15 minutes remaining on the clock.

It was the home side that entered the final quarter two goals to the good, and it was clear they did not want a repeat of the Season Opener, when they had to settle for a draw, as they flew out the blocks winning the last quarter 15-8 and the match 53-44.

England Roses Razia Quashie and Jodie Gibson were crucial in the defensive circle for Mavericks as they made four interceptions and seven deflections between them – all of which are key in such a close game.

You can catch up on these two games via NetballPass now, if you are outside the UK and Northern Ireland.

Other results this weekend included Manchester Thunder beating Cardiff Dragons, London Pulse seeing of Surrey Storm, and Severn Stars shooting past Strathclyde Sirens.
