Megan Fey Appointed as Netball World Youth Cup 2025 Technical Delegate

World Netball (WN) has appointed Megan Fey as the Technical Delegate for the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 (NWYC2025)  to be held in Gibraltar.

This voluntary, part-time role will see Fey work closely with the WN Board, CEO and Event Consultant, as well as liaising with the Host Organising Committee and the Host Member Association, Gibraltar Netball, in the build up to and during the event.

In her role Fey will help to ensure all relevant WN requirements are complied with, including requirements around rules, regulations, codes, and guidelines.

Congratulating Fey, World Netball CEO Clare Briegal said: “We are thrilled to appoint Megan as the Technical Delegate for the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 in Gibraltar.

“Megan was the Netball Technical Operations Manager at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, where she was responsible for the planning and delivery of the technical aspects of the competition in accordance with World Netball regulations.  She has previously played key roles in many Europe Netball events, through her role as the Europe Netball Technical Operations Lead, and is now the newly appointed Netball Super League and Major Events Support Lead at England Netball.

“With all her experiences to date, and her undeniable passion for netball, we are confident she will help to make the first Netball World Youth Cup since 2017 a fantastic success.

“World Netball looks forward to working closely with Megan, the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 Organising Committee and Gibraltar Netball Association on the delivery of another world-class event.”

Speaking on the excitement of being appointed, Fey added: “I am delighted and honoured to be appointed by World Netball as Technical Delegate for the Netball World Youth Cup 2025.

“It is such a key component of the international events calendar for emerging athletes within the under 21 age group.

“This four-yearly prestigious event is vital to bring forth the newest generation of players to the international stage.

“I am looking forward to working alongside Gibraltar Netball Association, the Local Organising Committee and the competing nations on behalf of World Netball to ensure that the competition is delivered to the highest standard and showcases netball at its best.”

The NWYC2025 will take place from the Friday 19th – Sunday 28th September across two venues, The Tercentenary Sports Hall and Europa Sports Park, with more announcements to follow.
