World Netball Officiating Advisory Panel Launch New Strategy For 2023 & Beyond

The World Netball Officiating Advisory Panel has today launched its strategic plan.

Having originally shared the strategy with the World Netball Members at Congress in July 2023, the panel have now made the document readily available online here: https://bit.ly/3JTaWfA

The strategy is for 2023, and beyond and sets out a framework for how the OAP will work with the other World Netball Panels, Working Groups and Officials to enhance, grow and inspire officiating around the world, with an ultimate purpose of creating a better world through netball.

This strategy is extremely important as Officials are one of the core contributors to the game of netball and they will play a pivotal role in enabling World Netball to achieve its mission to expand netball’s worldwide reach and impact.

Speaking on the exciting news, World Netball OAP Chair Garratt Williamson said: “The Officiating Advisory Panel are delighted to be able to share our strategic plan with the wider Netball Family.

“We have aligned the strategy with the three core pillars of World Netball, To Grow, To Play and To Inspire and considered how officiating can contribute to each of these.

“It is the culmination of work dating back to the World Netball World Class Officiating Review Group and is a platform from which we can take officiating forward in the medium to long term.”
