World Netball Announces Officials Selected for the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games.

World Netball has today announced the International Technical Officials (ITO) selected for the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG).

12 ITO have been selected, including three (3) members of the Umpire Appointment Panel (UAP) and nine (9) Match Officials (Umpires), to officiate the FAST5 netball competition taking place from the 8th – 10th August 2023. This is the first-time netball will feature in the CYG, with eight countries selected to send a team to compete at Shaw Park, Tobago.

Speaking on the announcement World Netball International Officiating Manager, Christina Barrow said: “It is always a privilege to be able to announce the officials selected for any international netball event, but especially one of this magnitude as it is the first Commonwealth Youth Games to ever include netball, giving the officials selected a chance to be a part of netball history.

“Without our passionate voluntary officiating workforce, opportunities like the Commonwealth Youth Games would not be available for the next generation of athletes, and so I want to take this opportunity to thank the officials for allowing World Netball to continue on its journey to Grow.

“We appreciate the dedication of all the officials, and we wish those selected for Trinbago 2023 the very best with their duties.”
