This week we saw three matches played in the ANZ Premiership, one re-arranged from back in Round 1 and two from Round 7.
There was lots of movement across the week at the top of the table with Mystics and Pulse leapfrogging each other to the top of the table at different points, live on NetballPass.

Pulse 58 – 41 Tactix
In the first quarter of Pulse vs Tactix, it looked as if we had a close contest on our hands with Pulse leading 12-11 after 15 minutes.
However, as the match went on things began to change with Pulse leading by more at every quarter break; the accuracy of the shooters proving the difference.
Aliyah Dunn, who is part of the Silver Ferns high performance pathway, shot at 93% converting 43 of her 46 shots, whilst at the other end of the court the Tactix shooters missed seven shots between them in just the first half.
The 58-41 win put Pulse back on the top of the table, until Mystics played the next day…
Mystics 68 – 44 Stars
Mystics capitalised on their chance to move back to the top of the table when they took on Stars in their Round 7 clash.
It was a convincing win for Mystics as they won the first quarter 16-9, and showed no sign of slowing down throughout the game winning the second quarter by the same margin so that they went into the half-time break leading 32-18.
Silver Fern, Peta Toeava, played a commanding role at wing attack for her Northern Mystics side making 39 feeds into the circle and 25 goal assits.
The win not only put Mystics back on top of the table, it also meant they could claim the derby bragging rights and equal their biggest ever winning margin.
Stars 46 – 56 Pulse
In the final match of the week Pulse and Stars took to court again, and Pulse had another chance to move back to the top of the league.
Despite the away side take home the win meaning both Pulse and Mystics are now on the same points again, Pulse didn’t move back on top due to their goal difference sitting at 47, compared to the 51 of Mystics.
One battle that international fans would have enjoyed in this match was that of Pulse’s goal keeper Kelly Jury and Stars shooter Maia Wilson.
The Silver Ferns duo battled it out in the circle, Wilson played well shooting at 93%, but Jury dominated using her height and on court awareness to make three interceptions and two rebounds, helping her side to the win.
