Africa Netball Cup Overview

The Africa Netball Cup finished yesterday in Namibia with South Africa retaining their title having finished the tournament undefeated.

The competition ran from the 9th – 16th November and involved hosts Namibia as well as, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Malawi.

The SPAR Proteas beat hosts Namibia on the last day of the tournament to retain their title, leaving The Ugandan She Cranes in second and the Malawi Queens in third.

Congratulations to World Netball Ambassador Bongi Msomi who was crowned player of the tournament, Phumza Maweni who awarded best defender, and Jane Chimaliro who was awarded best shooter at the closing ceremony.
