ANZ Premiership Grand Final Preview

The ANZ Premiership Grand Final between Northern Mystics and The Good Oil Tactix will take place this Sunday in New Zealand, Auckland at the Sparks Arena, as both teams look to re-write their Grand Final history.

In 2020, the Tactix missed out on first place in the Grand Final as they fell to the hands of Pulse loosing 31-43.

Similarly, in 2011 Mystics lost their most recent Grand Final 44-57 against Queensland Firebirds in Brisbane.

However, both teams have now reclaimed their place in the final this year where they will be looking for their fairytale ending.

The two sides have met 33 times since 2008, with Mystics coming away on top in 21 of those clashes, most recently beating the Tactix in Round 15 of the competition 63-59.

Despite those statistics swaying towards a Mystics victory, the contest is sure to be close as in their last six meetings only five goals or less have separated the teams.

The first centre pass will be at 3:30pm NZ time, and you can watch it live on Sky Sports 2 in New Zealand or if you live outside New Zealand you can click here to watch the live stream.
