OECS/ECCB Legacy Programme

In the last six months, the Caribbean Netball Association (CNA) has used the COVID-19 downtime for capacity building and strategic planning. The Caribbean Netball strategic plan, for the period 2020– 2025 has been developed by the CNA Strategic Planning Committee and has been approved by members countries.

In keeping with the strategic outlook, the OECS/ECCB Legacy Programme has facilitated the roll out of an inclusive approach to improved governance, coaching and umpiring in participating member countries.

Following the launch of the programme on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020, virtual sessions in coaching were conducted on Mondays and Tuesdays; while virtual training in governance and umpiring took place on Wednesdays and Saturdays respectively.

The countries that benefited from this initiative include: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Caribbean Netball Association, in collaboration with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), will conclude the OECS/ECCB Legacy Programme with a virtual closing ceremony on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 6:30 – 8:30pm.
