Vitality Netball World Cup 2019 Mascot Revealed

Mascot design winner Orla Burner revealed her prize-winning creation – Jude the Liver Bird – in a special assembly at her school on the 25th March 2019.

England international and Vitality Netball World Cup ambassador Jade Clarke accompanied Orla in revealing the mascot to the world.

10 year old Orla lives in Harpenden, Hertfordshire with her parents and younger sister. She is a passionate Netball fan, playing the sport every week, representing her school as part of the under-10 squad and watching her local Vitality Netball Superleague team Saracens Mavericks regularly.

Over 100 entries were submitted for the mascot competition, with Orla’s design being chosen by event director Lindsay Impett and Jade Clarke.

Speaking about her design, Orla said:

‘I thought about all the things that Liverpool and Netball are known for and used those to inspire my mascot creation. When i think about seeing Jude at the World Cup and watching England play their first game, i feel so excited i could scream’

Jude will be in Liverpool to welcome teams and visitors to the Vitality Netball World Cup 2019 from all over the world.
