Malawi’s Shooter Joyce Mvula joins English Superleague team

Joyce Mvula leaves for England: Malawi Queens shooter to play in Manchester Thunder.

joyce-mvula-manchester-thunderMalawi Queens shooter Joyce Mvula finally left for England to join her new club Manchester Thunder. Mvula becomes the second Malawi netball export after Mwai Kumwenda who plays her in New Zealand.

The 22 year old Mvula has been an influential player for the Malawi Queens due to her amazing style of play especially accurate shooting skills. She was spotted by English Super League team Manchester Thunder at the 2014 Commonwealth Games as well as 2015 Netball World Cup (NWC).

Coach Karen Greig recently expressed excitement with Mvula joining her club and had a lot of praises towards the Queen’s shooter.

“I am excited to have Joyce on board having observed her during NWC last year and Fast Fives more recently. Joyce has proven that she is an exciting shooter who has physical capabilities and ability to play between GS and GA and will pose great threat to any defence she faces. I am really looking forward to welcoming her into the Thunder family”.
