Janet Young Joins World Netball Medical Committee

Janet Young (picture middle in feature image) has joined the World Netball Medical Committee.

The World Netball Medical Committee is an expert medical panel and is the authority for all medical, health and anti-doping matters for the sport of netball.

The Panel, chaired by Dr Grace Bryant OAM, aims to promote and protect of the health of players, as well as injury prevention and rehabilitation, by enhanced knowledge and skills for maximal performance of the sport of netball at all levels.

Janet brings her vast experience to the Committee having served as a Biomedical Scientist (Microbiology) with Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board in Scotland.

The newest member of the medical committee is also a UK Anti-Doping Educator and is currently the Anti-Doping Lead for World Netball Region, Europe Netball, and World Netball Member Netball Scotland.

Also in netball, Janet has been an International Umpire and Team Manager for the Scottish Thistles and has attended four World Championships in these roles.

World Netball would like to welcome Janet to the Committee.
