On Monday, South African official, Theresa Prince, celebrated after successfully umpiring 100 international ranking matches. She was awarded her certificate by Netball South Africa President, Cecilia Malokwane, who said:
“Theresa, our 1st African to do 100 international ranking matches, one can never be more proud because you are from our beautiful continent of Africa.
“You earned all this and you deserve it, you are one dedicated umpire who is passionate about her umpiring and will do anything to see umpiring improve in our continent.
“If we talk about resilience we talk about you, you are an inspiration to many upcoming umpires in our continent.
“As Africa Netball we are proud to have you as one of us and we couldn’t be more proud.”
