The big news for netball this week has been described by Netball Australia as ‘truly transformative’ and by Netball New Zealand as ‘a defining moment for netball and women’s sport in New Zealand’.

The ANZ Championship will finish at the end of the current season. In its place, Netball Australia and New Zealand have both announced landmark broadcasting deals for new national netball leagues, which lay the foundation for the full professionalism of elite netball.
