The Netball Super League (NSL) Round 4 took place this weekend live on NetballPass*, BBC and Sky Sports, with new kids on the block Nottingham Forest beating the defending Champions Loughborough Lightning, whilst London Mavericks won in show stopping style, and Thunder and Pulse extended their winning streaks.
Here is this week’s international player spotlight:
Leeds Rhinos vs London Pulse
League leaders London Pulse were made to work hard for their fourth win of the season this weekend against Leeds Rhinos.
Having lost their first quarter of the season in quarter three, Pulse came out firing in the final 15 minutes when they were finally able to pull away, thanks to England Future Rose, Sophie Kelly, who utilised the Super Shot as Pulse won the final quarter 11-22, and the game 53-72.

Nottingham Forest vs Loughborough Lightning
England Rose Jayda Pechova was just one of the standout international stars in Nottingham Forest’s 73-71 victory over Loughborough Lightning.
Pechova, who has 6 caps for England having made her senior debut in 2023, was crucial at goal keeper as she made 10 gains, three interceptions and four deflections in her Player of the Match performance.

Cardiff Dragons vs Manchester Thunder
Manchester Thunder stormed into their Round 4 clash against Cardiff Dragons, getting off to a flying start ensuring they were 26-38 up at half time.
Thunder’s shooting accuracy never dwindled from there, with their South Africa SPAR Protea, Elmere van der Berg on top form.
Van der Berg scored 38 goals, with a 94% shooting accuracy through the game, as her team went on to win 72-47 and she was awarded Player of the Match.

London Mavericks vs Birmingham Panthers
The final game of the weekend was a nail-biting thriller, with Mavericks winning 69-68 in the final seconds of the game.
It was Australia’s Emily Andrew that stood up under pressure to score the final goal of the game and secure the victory.
Andrew, who was part of the Australian 2023/2024 U21 squad, scored 29 goals in this game, taking her season tally so far up to 145 and putting her fourth in the leagues goal scoring charts.
