Here is this week’s International Player Watch:
LexisNexis Dragons vs Nottingham Forest
It was a weekend to celebrate for LexisNexis Dragons fans, after they saw their side win at home for the first time since 2024.
It was a nail-biting game in which the Dragons defence proved the difference with Australia’s Jacqui Newton taking nine rebounds and six gains and Welsh Feather Leah Middleton making seven deflections and six re-bounds, all which proved crucial in this one goal victory.
There was lots to celebrate in the shooting circle to, as it was Welsh Feather Georgia Rowe’s 150th NSL appearance, in which she scored 35 goals, and it was fellow Feather Phillipa Yarranton’s final game in front of the home fans after she announced she will be stepping away from the NSL at the end of the season.

NIC Leeds Rhinos vs London Mavericks
Speaking of returning to winning ways London Mavericks won their first game in four this weekend, as they beat NIC Leeds Rhinos 60 – 63.
The victory heats up the Play-Off race, as 5th placed Mavericks remain hot on the tails of 4th placed Forest who they play next weekend.
A key international player in this game for Mavericks was England Rose, Izzi Phillips.
Phillips, who was part of the England U21 team that won bronze at the Netball World Youth Cup 2025, was awarded the Experience Kissimmee Player of the Match award for her standout performance at centre which saw her put in 15 feeds to the circle and really control that centre court.

London Pulse vs Loughborough Lightning
There was cause for celebration in the Capital this weekend, as London Pulse put an end to Loughborough Lightning’s winning streak and secured their place in the Soft & Gentle Play-Offs.
Nothing could separate the two sides at full time, with Lightning’s Ella Clark scoring an Amex Super Shot at the death to ensure the game went into extra time.
However, powered on by their home crowd Pulse bounced back in extra time and pulled ahead early to take an eventual 75 – 71 victory.
England Rose Liv Tchine was on fire in the shooting circle as she scored 14 Amex Super Shots and made eight rebounds, before being awarded the Experience Kissimmee Player of the Match award.
Whilst at the other end of the court it was fellow Rose Funmi Fadoju that made the difference for Pulse as she made 10 deflections and applied constant pressure to the Lightning shooters.
Despite both Pulse and Lightning now having won 9/10 games each, it is still Lightning that remain on top thanks to the bonus point they secured from this game.
