Three teams maintain their unbeaten status at the end of Round 2 of the Netball Super League (NSL), following some nail-biting clashes live and on demand on NetballPass*, BBC and Sky Sports.
Here is this week’s International Player Watch:
LexisNexis Dragons 50 – 51 London Pulse
First up, the defending Champions London Pulse were put to the test by a roaring Dragons team.
Pulse looked to have their second win all but secured as they lead 50-41 heading into the final five minutes of this clash, but Dragons were far from done.
With Scottish Thistle Niamh McCall nailing the Amex Super Shot at one end and Australian Jacqui Newton on fire in defence at the other, Dragons managed to storm their way back into the match eventually only losing by one goal.

NIC Leeds Rhinos 41 – 70 Loughborough Lightning
The Soft and Gentle Netball Super Cup Champions showed no signs of slowing down as they struck down Leeds Rhinos in Round 2.
After a nervy first quarter which ended 17-17, Lightning made their mark in the second set of 15 minutes scoring 20 to Rhinos seven with Trinidad & Tobago’s Samantha Wallace-Joseph scoring five Amex Super Shots this quarter alone.
Wallace-Joseph now sits second for goals with 63 to her name and a shooting percentage of 93%, and second for Amex Super Shots too having scored 19 of those, with a shooting accuracy of 76% from that range.

AO Manchester 69 – 59 London Mavericks
After suffering defeat in round 1, AO Manchester Thunder bounced back in Round 2 to beat London Mavericks 69-59.
England Rose Eleanor Cardwell was clinical in this match, as she scored 27 goals helping Thunder always keep Mavericks at arm’s length.
Cardwell went on to be awarded Experience Kissimmee Player of the Match in what was her first home league game back in front of the Thunder fans, following a stint down under.

Nottingham Forest 68 – 58 Birmingham Panthers
Joining London Pulse and Loughborough Lighting in the unbeaten club is Nottingham Forest, who came from behind to beat Birmingham Panther 68 – 58 making it two from two.
It was a game of two halves, with Panthers taking a 30-25 lead into the main break thanks to stand out performances across the court from the likes of England Rose Izzy Kaye and Welsh Feather Betsy Creak.
Forest then came out firing in the second half, with a full team performance spear headed by South Africa SPAR Protea, Rolene Streutker, allowing them to cut the deficit quickly before stretching out the winning margin to 10.
