World Netball Launches Endorsement Scheme for Netball Coaching Programmes

Following a successful pilot process World Netball’s (WN) Coaching Advisory Panel (CAP) invites Members and Regions, as well as other external parties, to submit coach development activities including workshops, coaching awards or mentoring programmes for endorsement by WN.

This is a newly devised quality assurance process by WN’s CAP to support and promote high quality netball coaching programmes.

Upon submission each programme will be assessed against relevant principles before a decision is made on the endorsement. You can view the principles here.

The Coaching Endorsement for Coaching Programmes will run on a two-year cycle from the 1st November every other year, with each successful endorsement lasting for two years.

During the first six months of each two-year endorsement period Regions will be able to submit three free endorsements for review. These three submissions can either be on behalf of one of their Member countries, or on behalf of the Region itself.

For this cycle that means that Regions will have from the 1st November 2023 until the 1st May 2024 to submit their free three submissions. Regions then will not be able to submit three free submissions until the first six months of the next two-year cycle, which will be the 1st November 2025 – 1st May 2026.

Regions and Members should have received an email on this process, but please email info@worldnetball.sport with any further questions.

Any additional submissions will be charged at the following rate:

Region/Member submissions: £50 GBP

External stakeholder submissions: £100 GBP

Once endorsed no changes can be made to the programme that was submitted. Changes made to an endorsed programme require a new application to be made to WN in order to retain the endorsement.
