Nottingham Forest vs Lexis Nexis Dragons
LexisNexis Dragons secured their second win of the NSL season in Round 6, with a 57-62 victory over Nottingham Forest.
Welsh Feather Leah Middleton worked hard to match one of the league’s most inform shooters, South Africa SPAR Protea Rolene Streutker, whilst Dragon’s very own SPAR Protea Khanyisa Chawane excelled in the midcourt.
Dragons were able to put 68 feeds into the circle compared to Forest’s 55, which they were able to capitalise off winning 57-62, despite Forest having the better shooting accuracy throughout the game.
The win takes Dragons to within three points of the play-offs.

London Pulse vs Birmingham Panthers
London Pulse put out a dominant performance to ensure they made their mark firmly in second place, with eyes on the top spot.
England Rose’s Halimat Adio and Funmi Fadoju worked tirelessly in defence for Pulse, shutting down the Birmingham Panthers shooters at any given opportunity and winning ball.
Fadoju went on to make seven gains and Adio six, whilst at the other end it was another England Rose, Sophie Kelly, that proved key as she scored 14 Amex Super Shots to push the final score out to 78 – 45.

At the other end of the court for Lightning, South Africa SPAR Protea Shadine van der Merwe relished at the opportunity to play against her old side as she was named Player of the Match for a standout defensive performance.
