Kate Stephenson Retires From International Umpire Awardee Role

World Netball has today announced that Kate Stephenson will be retiring from her role as an International Umpire Awardee (IUA).

Kate was first awarded IUA status in 2014, and since then has gone on to have a very successful international career resulting in umpiring 87 international matches.

Some of Kate’s highlights include officiating the Constellation Cup over three consecutive years, the Africa Championships, multiple Europe Netball competitions, the Commonwealth Games 2018, and the Finals of the Netball World Youth Cup 2017, Netball World Cup 2019, and Quad Series 2022.

Speaking on Kate’s incredible career and achievements, World Netball International Officiating Manger, Christina Barrow, said: “I would like to thank Kate for the time and energy she has given to umpiring international netball events and wish her well as she changes her focus to being a mother.”
