The World Netball (WN) Coaching Advisory Panel (CAP) has today launched its strategic plan.
The strategy is for 2026 and beyond and sets out a framework for how CAP will work collaboratively with other WN Panels and working groups to enhance, grow and inspire coaches around the world.
This strategy is extremely important as coaches are one of the core contributors to the game of netball and they will play a pivotal role in enabling WN to achieve its mission to expand netball’s reach and impact.
Aligning with the WN’s three core strategies, to grow, to play and to inspire, CAPs core strategies are as follows:
Grow: Increase the visibility, reach and impact of CAP in order to promote high quality coaching and sustainable coach development systems across all Member nations.
Play: To develop and support coaches to be world class and high performing.
Inspire: To ensure coaches strive to be transformational leaders capable of recruiting, developing and retaining participants whilst promoting lifelong engagement in netball.
Speaking on the exciting launch, World Netball CAP Chair Anita Navin said: “We are thrilled to launch our Coaching Advisory Panel Strategic Plan.”
“Coaches are at the heart of netball success.
“They shape participant experiences, nurture potential and create safe, inclusive and enjoyable environments where players thrive.
