Thunder Secure Top Four With Another NSL Win

The international Netball Family were able to watch Manchester Thunder secure the first top four spot of the season in the Netball Super League (NSL) this weekend as they beat Cardiff Dragons live on NetballPass.

Thunders guaranteed top four finish means they are the first team confirmed to be in the Semi-Finals of the NSL, taking place on Saturday 22nd June.

The Manchester side confirmed their sport in the Semi-Finals for the 10th consecutive year in style, with their South Africa SPAR Protea shooter Elmere van der Berg shooting at 100% scoring all 26 of her goals.

The second game live on NetballPass from the NSL this weekend was London Pulse vs Surrey Storm, and the two sides certainly kept their fans on their toes in this one as neither team managed to pull far ahead in the first half with only two goals separating them at the first and second breaks.

The England Rose Everitt sisters were crucial in the second half to Pulse, with Darcie coming off the bench into goal keeper and making one interception and one deflection, whilst Zara was equally as strong in defence making two deflections, which proved key to Pulse’s marginal 58-53 win.

You can catch up on both these matches on NetballPass now.

Elsewhere in the NSL in Round 13, Leeds Rhinos beat Saracens Mavericks, meaning both teams have now won 5 games, Loughborough Lightning saw off Team Bath to remain hot on the tails of Thunder, and Strathclyde Sirens were left still searching for their first win despite winning the second half against Stars.

Next up in the NSL live on NetballPass the international Netball Family will be able to watch Surrey Storm vs Severn Stars, and Manchester Thunder vs Saracens Mavericks.
