England Netball is hosting South Africa, New Zealand and Australia in the ‘Netball Quad Series’ at the Copper Box Arena from the 15th-19th January 2022.
Across the five days the four sides will go head-to-head once, with a third and fourth place game and a final to decide the victorious nation.
It is the first time this event has taken place since 2019, due to COVID-19 preventing things to a standstill.
It will also be the first time WN World Ranked number one team, the Australian Diamonds, who have won five of the six previous Quad Series, have played since March 2021.
England and New Zealand previously played each other in Cadbury’s Netball Series in September, which the Roses won before going on to win the Roses Reunited series against Jamaica in December.
South Africa most recently won the Africa Cup unbeaten, and World Netball Ambassador and SPAR Proteas captain, Bongi Msomi, believes this has helped them prepare for the up-and-coming Quad Series, she said: “After we have been together for some time, now we are going to go out and be challenged and we are excited about that because this side has got such great players coming up.
“We are all excited, we are really looking forward to this, it is a great chance, but it is awkward timing because of COVID-19 and all that comes with it.
“It is not a nice time to have to travel, there are a lot of challenges, but we have taken that all on board and we are looking forward to it.”
