World Netball (WN) has this month launched round two of its Strategic Development Fund (SDF) to support its Members in developments aligned with the WN Strategy, as well as their own associations strategy.
This development fund is part of WN’s GROW strategy, where it sets out its aim to facilitate deeper alliances across its Member nations and Regions, strengthening and supporting its diverse global Netball Family by creating a development programme with learning and sharing at its heart to support Members.
In the last round of funding, in 2024, following a vigorous assessment process by the SDF panel, WN was pleased to award funding to Netball Argentina, Barbados Netball Association, Fédération Ivoirienne de Netball, Netball Fiji and Netball Northern Ireland.
The five successful Members have since used their funding for a variety of projects, including coach development, building netball awareness in new netball countries, governance, diversity and inclusion planning, and more.
In order to apply for the second round of SDF, which is now open until 23rd November 2025, Members will need to complete the application form, which is available on the SDF page on our website, here.
Upon applying, for a maximum of £5,000 GPB, a SDF Panel will then consider strategic relevance, sustainability, efficiency, and organisation readiness, amongst other factors before granting the funding.
For more information about this exciting growth opportunity WN Members should visit the SDF page here on our website where they will be able to find the application form, as well as the application process and criteria in more detail.
