Tactix bounce back in Elimination Final to defeat Mystics

The Elimination Final took place in the ANZ Premiership (ANZP) this weekend, with Tactix beating Pulse 57 – 52 and progressing to the Grand Final, live and on demand on NetballPass* for the international Netball Family.

Despite the final score being in the home sides favour, it was Pulse that started the strongest and were leading by four at half-time.

Tactix grew into the game taking control of the match in the penultimate quarter, as they began to apply intense defensive pressure and gain confidence with their feeds into the circle.

Once found under the post Silver Fern Ellie Bird did not disappoint, scoring 47 of her 55 shots, as Tactix took the lead by one with 15 minutes to go.

Pulse retaliated in the final quarter power play, scoring a flurry of four Super Shots in an attempt to bounce back and steal the lead.

However, Silver Fern Karin Burger had other ideas, as she made some key gains at goal defence ensuring Tactix didn’t waste their second half comeback.

Burger finished the Elimination Final with two interceptions and five deflections, all which proved crucial in the five-goal victory.

Tactix will now face Mystics in the Grand Final on Sunday 27th July, live and on demand on NetballPass* for the international Netball Family.
