The First Nations Round in the Suncorp Super Netball League (SSN) took place live on NetballPass.*, Kayo Sports, Foxtel and Binge this weekend with Jamaican Sunshine Girls and England Roses amongst those making their mark this week.

Lightning vs NSW Swifts
NSW Swifts remain untouchable with another win in the SSN, this time to the hands of Sunshine Coast Lightning.
Lightning did strike back in the final quarter, but Swifts strong start was enough for them to take the win 62-70.
One international player that stood out was England Rose Helen Housby who continued to nail the Super Shot, scoring four in the opening half alone to ensure her Swifts side remained in control.

Giants vs Fever
Fever also managed to extend their unbeaten streak to five games in Round 7 of the SSN, as a strong start to the contest saw them beat Giants.
Fran Williams was just one international player that made an impact, as she worked tirelessly in defence with Australian Diamond Sunday Aryang.
Williams made two interceptions and four gains helping her side fight off a Giants comeback and win 66-75.

Firebirds vs Vixens
Vixens put on a masterclass against Firebirds, winning the match 52-70.
Despite a slightly slow start, the visitors side did not lose a quarter in this match, drawing the first before winning the final three.
Australian Diamond Kate Moloney was everywhere for Vixens as she put in a shift in both attack and defence at centre, with 13 goal assists, one interception and five turnovers.

Mavericks vs Thunderbirds
Thunderbirds bounced back from defeat in the previous round, this time beating Mavericks 59 – 66.
The match started of a close encounter with the teams going goal for goal, but Jamaican Sunshine Girl Latanya Wilson soon began to make her mark as she worked hard to win ball against her Jamaican teammate and now domestic opposition, Shimona Jok.
Wilson went on to make seven interceptions and 11 gains, pushing her side into third in the league, and herself top of the leagues deflections and interceptions charts for the season so far.
