It’s a big weekend in Australia’s premier netball league as the top four are all competing against each other in the Suncorp Super Netball League. The league leaders West Coast Fever, host NSW Swifts while second placed Giants welcome the Queensland Firebirds.

West Coast Fever are the only unbeaten side that remain in the league. They will have a tough test against an in form NSW Swifts side this weekend. Last week the Swifts defeated the Giants in the NSW derby with Sophie Garbin and Helen Housby impressing yet again. Fever’s Jhaniele Fowler-Reid has already scored 167 goals in her opening three games with her new club and will be looking to add to that tally this weekend.

Elsewhere, the reigning champions Sunshine Coast Lightning, who have lost all three of their opening games this season, play the Collingwood Magpies. Lightning have picked up six bonus points in those three games but sit just below the Magpies in the table. Sharni Layton played very well last weekend for the Magpies in which they secured a 70-50 victory over the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

In New Zealand, WBOP Magic will host their first home game of the season when they welcome league leaders Central Pulse to Hamilton. Pulse have a 3-0 record so far this season and have some bright emerging talents that have been catching the eye.

One of which is seventeen year old shooter Tiana Metuarau who has been starting ahead of experienced Silver Fern Ameliaranne Ekenasio. Another shining light for Pulse has been eighteen year old Aliyah Dunn, who is the league’s top goal scorer.

Elsewhere, defending champions Southern Steel play fourth place Northern Mystics, while on Wednesday Northern Stars travel to Mainland Tactix.
