The concluding Netball World Cup 2019 Regional Qualifier is to take place this week in Singapore, with nine teams battling it out for the two available positions in the Asia Qualifier for next year’s event in Liverpool.
Singapore will host Malaysia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Chinese Taipei, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong and Thailand who will play in a 2 stage group style tournament.
Sri Lanka and Singapore both took part in the Netball World Cup 2015 in Sydney, Australia.
Australia has already qualified for for Netball World Cup 2019 due to their 1st place world ranking.
The INF will be live-streaming the event throughout the week on the INF YouTube channel, Facebook and Twitter. This follows on from a successful live stream of the Americas Regional Qualifiers already reaching over 3 million people along with a viewing of over 300,0000.
An announcement of all the qualifying teams for Netball World Cup 2019 will follow on after this event has finished (9th September).
The Official Draw for Netball World Cup 2019 will take place on September 15th in Nottingham at the Vitality Goalden Globes Awards – England Netball’s annual recognition event for volunteers.
