Netball Northern Ireland has launched its 2020-2025 Strategic Plan – ‘Strongest Together’ following twelve months of consultation, analysing, drafting, reviewing, questioning, and challenging. A culmination of ambition, passion and enthusiasm sees this exciting plan come into force and will be the focal point of Netball NI for the next five years.
Netball Northern Ireland launched the plan on Saturday 5th September 2020 at its virtual AGM with over 70 people in attendance. From the INF, Liz Nicholl, INF President, Clare Briegal, INF CEO, and Lyn Carpenter, INF Director for Europe were in attendance along with umpires, coaches, clubs, administrators and media.
Netball NI’s vision is ‘to be a top 8 National Team supported by a strong school, club and league foundation’. The mission is to develop and grow netball in Northern Ireland. The vision and mission are supported by 4 Goals: Excel in Sport Business, Grow Participation, Transform Competitions and Enhance the Performance Pathway.
In the foreword of the plan, Geoff Wilson, Chairman of Netball NI states “We recognise the health and financial environment may fluctuate but ultimately we must take this opportunity to drive our sport forward, develop our people and provide an engaging, sustainable sport accessible to everyone.”
