The Suncorp Super Netball semi-finals will take place this weekend in Australia on Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September. The top four teams in the league: Sunshine Coast Lightning, New South Wales Swifts, Melbourne Vixens and Collingwood Magpies will take to the court including many familiar faces from the Vitality Netball World Cup 2019.
As league winners, The Sunshine Coast Lightning will host NSW Swifts to determine who will go straight through to host the final. The match will see some of the Netball World Cup stars taking to the court with Steph Wood, Laura Langman, Karla Pretoruis, Peace Proscovia and Phumza Maweni battling it out for Sunshine Coast Lightning. Paige Hadley, Natalie Haythornthwaite, Helen Housby, Sarah Klau and Samantha Wallace will take to the court for New South Wales Swifts.
The second day of the Semi-Finals will see Melbourne Vixens and Collingwood Magpies play an elimination match to determine who will take on the loser of the Major Semi Final. Australian Diamonds players Caitlin Thwaites, Jo Western and Liz Watson are in action for Vixens, and Geva Mentor and Shimona Nelson will be giving it their all for the Magpies.
Following the semi-finals, the preliminary final is due to take place on 8th September, and the Grand Final will take place on 15th September.
