Fiji, Cook Islands and Samoa have all booked their place for next year’s upcoming Netball World Youth Cup 2017 in Gaborone, Botswana.
The teams will join South Africa, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, New Zealand, Australia, England and hosts Botswana.
Fiji finished the tournament undefeated cementing their place with a hard fought 45-40 victory against Cook Islands. Samoa defeated Papua New Guinea 55-32 to claim their 3rd place spot. Tonga, despite improvements throughout the week, finished in 5th place.
The next and final round of qualifying will be the European qualifying in Cardiff, Wales on the 7 – 9 October. Four teams, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will compete for the final qualification sports.
The draw for the Netball World Youth Cup will take place on October 20th in Gaborone, Botswana.
