Fever Fire through to the SSN Grand Final, as Swifts and Vixens left to battle it out to join them.

The Minor and Major Semi-Finals took place in the Suncorp Super Netball League (SSN) this weekend, live and on demand on NetballPass*, Kayo Sports, Foxtel, and for the first time Binge, with West Coast Fever the first team to secure a Grand Final spot.

The Minor Premiers, Fever, took on the league’s second place team NSW Swifts in the Major Semi-Final, with the winner of this game progressing straight through to the Grand Final, whilst the losing side would be left to play in the Preliminary Final.

Fever flew out of the blocks, with their party in front of their home crowd starting from the first whistle.

The home side dominated in every area of the court, and by half time they had a 26-goal lead.

Australian Diamonds Jess Anstiss and Sunday Aryang had standout performances in defence, with Aryang notably making two interceptions and seven gains.

Whilst at the other end of the court, Alice Teague-Neeld lead the way in attack feeding the shooters without fear, racking up 26 goal assists, whilst also receiving 17 centre passes, making one interception and one turnover.

It goes without saying that Jamaican Sunshine Girl Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard was confident on the end of every feed into the circle, as she scored 65/66 of her shots, and 1/2 of her Super Shots.

Swifts never quite managed to fight back, losing every quarter and the game 77-45.

The NSW side have no time to dwell on defeat though, as they now find themselves in the Preliminary Final, with one more shot at making the Grand Final, where they would face Fever again.

Waiting for Swifts in the Preliminary Final is Melbourne Vixens, after they beat Adelaide Thunderbirds 56-58 in the Minor Semi-Final, also live on NetballPass*.

This was a much closer encounter than the Major Semi-Final, with Thunderbirds staying hot on the tails of Vixens throughout.

Australian Diamond Kate Moloney steered the ship through the midcourt, as she made 12 goal assists, but also did her part in defence making four turnovers, all which proved crucial in the close clash.
