Let’s start with the back-to-back ANZ Premiership (ANZP) Champions, Mystics.
Mystics have re-signed eight of their 2024 squad for the new season, with two new additions joining the team.
One of those new players, is Australian Diamond Donnell Wallam, who will be making her ANZP debut.
Wallam made her Diamonds debut in 2022, making her mark as she scored the winning goal against the England Roses for Australia to win the match 55-54.
We can’t wait to see what the shooter can bring to the ANZP!

Next up, with have Stars who have welcomed five new players for the ANZP season.
Just like Wallam at Mystics, joining from Firebirds in the Suncorp Super Netball League, is Remi Kamo.
We can’t wait to see the circle defender team up with New Zealand Silver Fern, Kate Burley for Stars this season.
What a defensive duo this could be!
There are not as many changes at Magic this season, with much of their team staying the same.
One player that has been promoted from a training partner to a fully contracted player for Magic this year is New Zealand Silver Fern U21, Kate Taylor.
Taylor will be one for the international Netball Family to keep their eye on this season in the ANZP, as the young shooter also hopes to be selected for the New Zealand team that will compete at the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 this September.
Luckily for Taylor she will spend the domestic league season training and playing alongside Silver Fern shooter, Ameliaranne Ekenasio.
International netball is certainly no stranger to Ekenasio, who has 79 caps for New Zealand, having made her debut in 2014 before going on to play in two Netball World Cups.
We can’t wait to see the next generation of talent in Taylor develop alongside Ekenasio this season!
Sticking with the theme of Silver Ferns that have made their mark, we can’t wait to see Whitney Souness and Kelly Jackson back on court for Pulse again this year.
Jackson is entering her sixth season with Pulse, whilst Souness has been part of the club since 2015.
Circle defender, Jackson finished last season top of the charts for interceptions, deflections and defensive rebounds, whilst centre court player Souness topped the chart for most centre pass receives.
The Silver Ferns duo will be hoping to go one better with Pulse this season, after they made the Grand Final in 2024, before losing marginally by just one goal, 54-43 to Mystics.

Another player that has signed their first full time netball contact this year is Martina Salmon.
The shooter had a standout 2024, winning two silver medals. Firstly, at Pulse where she was brought into the team as a permanent injury replacement, helping them make the Grand Final, before she then made her Silver Ferns debut at the FAST5 Netball World Series 2024, finishing second here too.
Salmon is reaping the rewards having now been promoted to the New Zealand A and Silver Ferns Development Squads, as well as getting her first full time contract with Tactix.
We can’t wait to see what is to come from the young gun in 2025!
Last, but not least, we have Steel.
This is another team that has been plenty of changes to its roster ahead of the 2025 season, with Silver Fern Carys Sythe and Australia’s Dakota Thomas among those to join the side.
Sythe joins from Mystics, where she won the league in 2024, and Thomas, from NSW Swifts in the Suncorp Super Netball League where she was a training partner last season.
The duo will bring a new look to the Steel defensive circle, with Sythe having made 20 interceptions, seven turnovers and 28 pickups throughout the 17 matches she played in 2024, and Thomas a promising Australian talent who has made her way through the NWS Swifts pathway.
The ANZ Premiership will be available globally, with the international Netball Family, outside of New Zealand, able to watch live on NetballPass.
