First up, looking to go one better this season we have Northern Mystics.
Mystics finished top of the table last season, winning the minor Premiership, however they fell short in the Grand Final losing to Tactix 58-46.
Despite the Grand Final defeat, there was still lots to celebrate for Mystics with their midcourt star Peta Toevava named ANZ Premiership Player of the Year.
Toevava received 183 centre passes and put in an outstanding 442 feeds during the 2025 season, putting her top of the feed’s chart.
Off the back of this successful domestic league campaign, Toevava has been recalled to the Silver Ferns, after last being selected for in 2023.
Toevava is certainly an international star to keep your eyes on this season!
Head to NetballPass now to re-watch the 2025 season and see Toevava in action.
Stars are ready to shoot into the new season as they have secured the ANZ Premiership 2025 top goal scorer Amelia Walmsley for 2026.
Walmsley scored 491 goals for Pulse during their 2025 campaign, before going on to Captain the Silver Ferns at the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 (NWYC2025) in Gibraltar, in which they finished 2nd.
Take a look at one of Walmsley’s best moments from the NWYC2025, here.
After finishing bottom of the league last season Stars will be hoping that Walmsley is their ticket to a stronger finish in 2026.
Magic’s season wasn’t much better than Stars in 2025, as they finished in 5th place just six points above them.
They too have called upon a NWYC2025 Silver Fern, with Kaiya Kepa stepping up from a training partner to a fully contracted player in 2026.
Kepa is a dynamic and versatile midcourt player that will turn her hand to wing defence, centre and wing attack, and she is sure to be one to watch in the ANZ Premiership this season.
You can re-watch the NWYC2025 for free now on NetballPass to see Kepa in action.
Pulse is one team that is going to see plenty of change going into 2026, with many players departing during the off season.
However, with departures comes the opportunity to bring in exciting new talent and that is exactly what Pulse have done.
South Africa SPAR Protea Ine-Marí Venter will be making the move to New Zealand this season, having previously played in the Suncorp Super Netball League, Netball Super League and most recently the Telkom Netball League in South Africa for the Gauteng Jaguars.
Venter was part of the SPAR Proteas home Netball World Cup 2023 squad, where she scored 133 goals for her country shooting at 83%.
Don’t forget you can catch up on the NWC2023 on NetballPass now to see Venter in action ahead of the ANZP season.
2025 will take some beating for Tactix, as it was the year they won their first ANZ Premiership Grand Final.
However, just like Pulse, Tactix will enter 2026 with a new look following players departing or retiring in all areas of the court.
One change sees NWYC2025 Silver Fern Josie Seymour promoted to a full-time contract player, having previously been part of the Mainland National Netball League (NNL) side, who were also crowned Champions last season.
Keep your eye out for Seymour at wing defence this season!
Here is a reminder of the moment Tactix won the Grand Final 2025.
Finally, we have Southern Steel who go into 2026 largely unchanged, with the hope that stability will strengthen their chances of finishing higher than 4th.
Despite the loss of Silver Fern Kate Heffernan, Steel still remain strong in the midcourt with fellow Silver Fern Kimiora Poi remaining on the roster.
Poi is also this year joined at Steel by her sister, Ashleigh Poi, who has been brought into the side full time after impressing as a replacement player in 2025.
Keep an eye on this dynamic sister duo this season!
Here is a reminder of just how dangerous Poi can be around the circle edge.
