Malaysia Netball Super League

The Malaysia Netball Super League will return for its 5th year in 2026, with the competition running from 10th April – 17th May.

Eight teams will compete across 64 matches, and here we have all the information that you need to know.

International Player Watch

As well as Malaysian internationals, the 2026 season see 16 import players from netball nations including Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, South Africa, Uganda, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Botswana compete.

The Malaysian Netball Super League says their involvement is expected to elevate the league’s competitiveness while providing valuable exposure to local players.

Here are a few for you to look out for:

Johor Jewels 

Former Australian Diamond Gretel Bueta and former Silver Fern Laura Langman will play for the Johor Jewels during the 2026 season.

Bueta made her debut for Australia in 2015 and went on to earn 47 caps for her country, with the shooter competing in her first Netball World Cup (NWC) in 2019.

Mid-courter Langman made her Silver Ferns debut in 2005, and from then was part of four NWCs and three Commonwealth Games (CWG), most notably Captaining her country to a world title at the NWC2019. 

Kedah Sunshine 

Kedah Sunshine welcome South Africa SPAR Protea duo Sigrid Burger and Jeanté Strydom to their team for the 2026 season.

Burger played for Birmingham Panthers in the UK’s Netball Super League last season where she scored 312 goals in 11 games and has previously represented her country at the CWG2018 and NWC2019.  

Strydom played her domestic league netball in South Africa last year for Gauteng Golden Fireballs, and she has also played in New Zealand’s ANZ Premiership bringing a wealth of international experience to Malaysia.

The defender made her SPAR Proteas debut in 2023, as her country hosted the NWC in Cape Town.

Selangor Angels

Speaking of SPAR Protea duos, Selangor Angels have welcomed two of their own in Mbali Diphoko and Reratilwe Tsotetsi.

Mbali Diphoko is a baby SPAR Protea who recently represented her country at the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 (NWYC2025), where they made history making their first ever Semi-Final in this competition.

Reratilwe Tsotetsi is another young South African star to watch in Malaysia this season, as she has just been selected as a training partner for the SPAR Proteas 2025/2026 squad.

Pahang Tulips

South Africa’s Muhluri Hlatshwayo will play in the Malaysia Netball Super League for the second year running in 2026, this time for the Pahang Tulips.

The shooter played for Putrajaya Dynamites during the 2025 season, who went on to finish in 2nd position.

Also joining Tulips from Dynamites this season is Botswana’s captain, Fattimah Dino.

KL Wildcats

Ugandan She Crane Shadia Nassanga will play in the Malaysia Netball Super League for her third year with KL Wildcats, after she finished the 2025 season as the top scorer and league’s Most Valuable Player, with her side also crowned league Champions.

Malika Mystique

Jamaican Sunshine Girl Roxanna McLean is sure to be one to look out for in the Malika Mystique’s team this season.

McLean was part of the Jamaica U21 team at the NWYC2025 where the defender helped them finish in 5th place.

At the other end of the court, Malika Mystique will welcome Zimbabwe Gem shooter Thandazile Ndhlovu.

The shooter recently played in the Deloitte Netball Super League in Singapore for the Swifts.

Terengganu Marvels

Malawi Queen Tendai Masamba has signed for the Terengganu Marvels for the 2026 season.

The shooter recently played in the Deloitte Netball Super League in Singapore where she helped them to league victory.

Perak Phoenix

Uganda She Cranes Haniisha Muhameed and Faridah Kadondi will play for Perak Phoenix during the 2026 season.

Kadondi recently played in the Deloitte Netball Super League in Singapore, where she was named International Most Valuable Player.

The goal keeper has also previously played in the UK’s Netball Super League for Nottingham Forest and was crucial to her countries 5th placed finish at the NWC2023.

Fellow, She Crane defender Muhameed also brings international experience, having played in the UK’s Netball Super League for Surrey Storm, who signed her following her standout performance at NWC2023.
