The World Netball (WN) World Rankings as of the 1st September 2025 will be used by Commonwealth Sport (CS) to invite the 12 Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) to Glasgow 2026, including the hosts, Scotland, who automatically qualify to be invited.

The 12 teams will be announced by CS and WN in due course.

The 23rd edition of the Games will welcome 3,000 athletes from 74 nations to Glasgow for 10 days of world class competition, made up of 133 sessions of sport, including more than 50 medal sessions.

Speaking on the excitement of playing in a multi-sport event and being part of the host nation, two-time Commonwealth Games Team Scotland netballer Emily Nicholl said: “I think the best thing about the Commonwealth Games is the multi-sport opportunity, it’s a chance for netball to be around other athletes and like-minded people.

“I think we’re (Scotland) a really special nation in terms of the connection we have as athletes and there’s no feeling like that pride of standing out there representing Team Scotland.”

The international netball family have until Thursday 16th October to sign up to the Glasgow 2026 ticket pre-sale, for first access to tickets.

Pre-sale will then begin for those in the Glasgow area on Tuesday 21st October, followed by anyone with a Scottish post code on Friday 24th October, and finally anyone registered in the pre-sale internationally on Wednesday 29th October.
