Following Round 14 of the Netball Super League (NSL) we now have three teams confirmed for Semi-Finals weekend, with London Pulse and Loughborough Lightning joining already confirmed Manchester Thunder.
Lightning beat Cardiff Dragons to secure their spot, whilst Pulse beat Sirens to claim theirs.
Two of the teams that are still fighting for that last Semi-Final spot are Surrey Storm and Severn Stars, and they went head-to-head this weekend at Surrey Sports Park.
It was Stars that boosted their chances live on NetballPass as they beat Storm 69-42, with their South African SPAR Protea shooter Sigi Burger putting on a shooting masterclass as she shot at 98%.
Leeds Rhinos capitalised on Storms defeat to Stars with a 65-50 win over Team Bath which sees Rhinos now jump above them into 5th – hot on the tails of Stars as they also push for that final Semi-Final spot.
Once again it was an African shooter that shone, this time in Malawi’s Joyce Mvula, as she shot at 95% scoring 52 goals for Rhinos.
The final game of the weekend on NetballPass was Manchester Thunder vs Saracens Mavericks.
Keeping with the theme, top of the table Thunder also had an African international shooter to thank for their victory, with Elmere van der Berg missing just one shot all game, helping her side hold off Mavericks final quarter comeback.
You can catch up on this game on NetballPass now.
Next up in the NSL the international netball family will be able to watch Severn Stars vs Saracens Mavericks and Surrey Storm vs Leeds Rhinos, as the hunt for the final Semi-Final spot continues.
