Following Round 5 of the Suncorp Super Netball League (SSN), it is the Jamaican Sunshine Girls and England Roses in the league that top the statistic charts for their standout performances so far this season.
In defence it is all about England and West Coast Fever’s Fran Williams.
Williams has made a flying start in her debut SSN season, making the most defensive rebounds in the league so far this season with 12 to her name.
The Fever star also made six gains and one interception in her teams most recent game in Round 5 where they beat Firebirds 94-58, meaning they remain unbeaten and top of the league.
At the other end of the court for Fever it was a Jamaican Sunshine Girl, Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard, that continued to make the difference.
Fowler-Nembhard scored 62 out of her 64 chances in this game, and continues to top the leagues goals scored charts, with 305 goals so far this season.

Continuing to look at the attacking statistics in the league so far, and specifically the offensive rebounds it is another Jamaican that sits top in Romelda Aiken-George.
The Adelaide Thunderbirds shooter has made 26 offensive rebounds in the first 5 rounds.
In the most recent round, Aiken-George was just as strong in the shooting circle, scoring 32 out of 34 of her chance as Thunderbirds beat Melbourne Mavericks 37-59 live on NetballPass.
Aiken-George’s club and country teammate Shamera Sterling-Humphrey was also crucial to this victory, as she has been all season topping the interception and deflection charts.
Against Mavericks, Sterling-Humphrey only increased her lead in these statistics charts, as she made a further three interceptions and 8 gains.
Despite being part of a losing side this weekend, the final import player that tops a statistic chart this weekend is NSW Swifts and England’s Helen Housby.
Housby’s Swifts side lost marginally to Vixen’s this weekend, 59-61, however Housby scored a further 10 Super Shots in the match, putting her top of the Super Shots charts for the season with 32 to her name, 6 more than any other player in the league.
In the final SSN match of the weekend, between Giants and Lightning, extra time was needed to decide a winner.
The extra time game changer was Giants Matisse Letherbarrow, as she entered the court and scored seven goals and three Super Shots to secure Giants their first victory of the season.
The victory means that all teams in the SSN now have points on the board.
