Republic of Ireland Win The Europe Netball Open Challenge 2022

The Europe Netball Open Challenge has come to an end in the Isle of Man, with the Republic of Ireland (ROI), beating last year’s champions, UAE, in the final to win the competition.

The two finalists first faced each other in the group stages of the challenge, when ROI came out on top winning 51-44, this was the only defeat the UAE faced in Group B whilst ROI went on to win the group unbeaten.

This meant ROI played the runners up of Group A, Isle of Man, and UAE played the winners of Group A, Gibraltar, in the next round and victories for both Group B teams saw them confirm their places in the final for a re-match.

At the second time of asking the result was much the same, with ROI this time winning 55-41 to claim the trophy.
