The Wales Netball Quad Series took place at the Ebbw Vale Sports Centre this weekend, as the hosts welcomed the Republic of Ireland, Gibraltar, and the Isle of Man for three days of competition.
Across the three days six matches took place between the four teams, as they each played each other once.
The hosts, Wales, came out on top after going unbeaten all weekend, leading to them securing the Wendy White Trophy and improving their chances of qualification for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Meanwhile, there were some close games between the Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and Gibraltar, with the closest contest coming in the final day between the Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man as they drew 45-45.
There were many players achievements to celebrate throughout the competition too, with Gibraltar’s captain Joelle Moreno and Republic of Ireland captain, Fran Duffy, making their 50th international appearances.
At the other end of their international netball journeys, Republic of Ireland’s Natalie Foster and Sophie Murray, Isle of Man’s Lexa Hattersley and Holly Hennessey, and Wales’ Morganne Dunne, Rebecca Baker, and Celyn Emanuel all received their first international caps.
Well Done to Wales Netball for organising a successful tournament and to all teams for their performances.
