Emily Whiteside Joins World Netball As Digital Marketing Manager

World Netball is delighted to announce its latest appointment – Emily Whiteside in the role of Digital Marketing Manager, as its head offices in MediaCityUK, Salford Greater Manchester.

Emily is a sport enthusiast who has gained a wide range of digital marketing experience within the sport industry over the past four years. Her work within sport started at the Tennis Foundation (previously the leading tennis charity in Great Britain) where she was Marketing and Content Officer, in this role she drove the visibility of disability tennis through various omni-channel marketing campaigns including developing and implementing a marketing strategy for the largest wheelchair tennis tournament in the UK.

More recently, she has been working for the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the national governing body for tennis in the UK. At the LTA she managed all content on the public facing LTA website, as well as their fan and coach membership portals. One of her core responsibilities has been to recruit and retain members, as well as rewarding the existing database through a customer focused strategy.

Emily is a keen netballer having played and followed the game throughout her life.  She played for England at a Europe Netball U17 tournament in Dublin in 2011.

Speaking on joining World Netball, Emily commented: “Having been a keen netball player and fan throughout my life, I am extremely excited to be able to play a role in growing the reach and impact of the game globally.

“I look forward to being able to apply all my knowledge gained from working in tennis to continue and enhance the great work the World Netball team are already doing.”
