Jamaica Win The Margaret Beckford Sunshine Series

Jamaica have won the Margaret Beckford Sunshine Series following three victories over the Trinidad and Tobago Calypso Girls.

The series began on Saturday 16th October with the visiting Calypso Girls falling to a first heavy defeat of 72-22 against the Sunshine girls.

Despite the defeat, Trinidad and Tobago went into the second game looking stronger and managed to stay within half of the Sunshine girls goal tally at half-time.

However, Jamaica came out strong in the second half to secure the second win, 64-32, and the series.

The teams then played one more time to conclude the series, in a match which Jamaica won 73-22.

World Netball Ambassador, Shamera Sterling, was named player of the match in the third and final match and her teammate and Sunshine Girls captain Jhaniele Fowler was named Player of the Series.

Congratulations to the Jamaica Sunshine Girls!
