Melbourne Vixens Crowned Suncorp Super Netball Champions 2020

This weekend saw the conclusion of the Suncorp Super Netball 2020 Season with the Grand Final held between Melbourne Vixens and West Coast Fever, both fighting it out to become champions. Despite a difficult start to the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the season saw 60 games played across 79 days and the final did not disappoint netball fans.

Several international stars took to the court including, Vixens, Kadie-Ann Dehaney, Mwai Kumwenda, Liz Watson, Jo Western, Kate Moloney and Emily Mannix and West Coast Fever’s Courtney Bruce, Verity Charles, Jhaniele Fowler and Stacey Francis.

The match saw an incredible fight from both teams, but it was Melbourne Vixens who secured their first championship since 2014 after taking the win 66-64. Following a fantastic performance, Mwai Kumwenda was named Nissan Player of the Match.
