Netball France is looking for a group of driven and passionate people to form its first Board of Directors. This is an exciting, once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of Netball history, working to expand the sport in France and achieve official recognition from the Ministère des Sports.
Netball France is the newly formed French national netball association, created after Netball in France reached the limit of its potential to expand the sport and offer more opportunities for training and advancement, and an elite level competition, without the 9 associations working together as one legal entity with the power to govern the sport in France. With 5 official members (Netball Paris, LMML Netball, Vasles Netball, Valley Vipers Netball and Netball Toulouse) and 4 pending members (Netball Côte Basque, Netball Nice, Netball Lyon and Oceania), Netball France encompasses all of the netball associations in France.
Netball France’s current major goals include:
- To receive recognition as a federation from the Ministère des Sports, in order to allow us to have full governance of the sport in France and compete internationally;
- To devise and implement training programs and accreditation for umpires/coaches/bench officials;
- To offer more match play/opportunities to our players of all levels in France;
- To devise a player development pathway to train our athletes and form a national team to compete on the international circuit; and
- To expand and promote the sport in France.
In order to achieve these, and other, goals, Netball France is beginning our search for our first Board of Directors. As Netball France is a newly formed not-for-profit organisation, these will be volunteer positions. We are aware of the work involved in each of these positions, however unfortunately until Netball in France grows and receives more of an income (whether through membership, future sponsorship opportunities or other potential income streams), we are unable to offer compensation. We are hoping to find driven, motivated individuals who are passionate about Netball and are willing to donate some of their talent and free time into creating an elite, world class organisation.

- President;
- Vice President;
- Secretary; and
- Treasurer
In addition to these roles, the Board of Directors will also comprise of one representative from each Member Organisation, and in the event there is a National Squad, two Player Representatives. These positions will be selected by the Member Organisation and National Squad, respectively.
As we are searching for the best candidates to help drive the sport forward in France, it is not necessary to speak French, be based in France or currently involved in any of the netball associations in France. We envision that most of the work will be able to be done from almost anywhere in the world, and meetings can be attended via phone/video connection. Please also note that taking a position on the board will not prevent you from taking any other position within the organisation, including as a player/athlete.
