INF Acquires .sport Internet Domain Name

The International Netball Federation is pleased to announce that it has acquired a .sport internet domain name through a programme being overseen by the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF).

The acquisition and use of the netball.sport domain name corroborates the INF’s position as world governing body for the sport of netball.  The Federation’s primary website has transitioned to this domain and all traffic is being redirected to the new domain.

GAISF has been responsible for taking the programme to market, and sanctioning and managing the use of .sport, including deciding which applicants should be granted permission to use the domain.

Other organisations that have acquired a .sport the domain name include FIFA, World Archery, Badminton World Federation, World Curling Federation, FIG, the international gymnastics federation, FIBA, the international basketball federation, FISU, the international federation of university sports, the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Winter Games and SportAccord, the annual sports industry convention belonging to GAISF.

For more information please see GAISF’s website.
