Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados have both qualified for the Netball World Cup 2019, following the Regional Qualifiers – Americas, Barbados held from 24th August – 2nd September 2018.
Trinidad & Tobago secured their qualification with a 65 – 51 over Barbados on Sunday evening, whilst Barbados’ 58-43 victory over Grenada earned them the second place available for the Americas region.
Both teams took part in the Netball World Cup 2015 in Sydney, Australia with Trinidad & Tobago placing 9th and Barbados placing 13th.
The Americas Qualifier’s were live streamed by the INF throughout the tournament enabling fans to follow the performance of their team wherever they were in the world.
There are just two more qualification spots available for Netball World Cup 2019 which will be decided over the coming weeks in the final Regional Qualifiers tournaments to be held in Asia.
The final list of qualified teams will be confirmed officially by the INF in September 2018.
