There has been fierce competition so far this week in Barbados, as the Netball World Cup 2019 Regional Qualifier – Americas intensifies.
Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago lead the way, winning all of their games so far. Both teams will play each other on the final day of the competition (Saturday 2nd September). Before then, Barbados will take on USA and Grenada while Trinidad & Tobago take on St Maarten, Argentina and St Vincent & Grenadines.
This has been a historic event for St Maarten and St Vincent and Grenadines as this is the first time they have participated in a Netball World Cup Regional Qualifying Event.
The top two placed teams will advance to next year’s World Cup and as it stand is it Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago currently occupying those positions.
